More support will be from government for more innovations
The Shenzhen Outsourcing Summit at the end of last year called for more attention and support from government.
Some one hundred global software vendors and buyers have met in this summit to explore opportunities for cooperation, while Chinese software companies were trying to get a piece of pie from the huge software outsourcing market.
The unparalleled wealth of high skilled labor and strong government supports have placed China at the top for outsourcing engagements. And Chinese companies have successfully secured around a half of the outsourcing market in Japan. But some Chinese companies are still competing in the low-end market, which means thin profits and a world away the requirements of global markets.
Xu Qin, Dept. Director of State Development and Reform Commission said: "Government will provide a stimulus for software companies for more innovations. We hope software companies can improve their software services and grab businesses at the high-end of the software market."
The city of Shenzhen is a pioneer in China's opening-up and reform process, and it is now spearheading the development of the country's software industry. The city is now the biggest software exporter among all Chinese cities. Many domestic hi-tech heavyweights all originate from the coastal city.
