Information Industry Is Encouraged in West China

At a forum on information service and the development of the western region held this month in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China's Sichuan Province, deputy director of the Office of the Leading Group for Western Region Development of the State Council, Wang Jinxiang said that in order to expand and boost the information industry, China would work all-out to support western cities in China, such as Chengdu, Xi'an, and Chongqing as well as a group of well-based enterprises in western region of China.

According to Wang's remark, more and more foreign investment and capital from eastern and central areas will be encouraged to be put to the information industry of the west, so as to prompt and improve the productive efficiency of the western region in its development, and to decrease production cost, consumption of resource and pollution.
